If the issue persists, I’d like to collect the following information to further investigation. Kindly note that please check the option “Prompt for a profile to be used” so that the we can choose the new created profile to add the email account in it when restarting Outlook client. In the new window as follow, add a new profile and add your account The Mail Setup dialog box will open, then click Show profile. In Control Panel, search Mail, and select it. Select the Windows icon, type “Control Panel” in the search box and select it.

I also suggest create the new profile and add your account in the new profile:

Please update your Outlook to the latest version first (click File> Account> Update Options> Update now) to see if it helps. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice? My question is, why can we notĬategorize these events upon creating them in Outlook 2016? We can even edit the category by simply double clicking on the category on the event. What is truly confusing is that if we create an event online and categorize it there, the category color and name shows on Outlook 2016. The "Categorize" drop-down cannot be selected (as shown in the image below).

All group members can view and edit the group calendar just like on Officeģ65 online however, we are not able to use the categories like we usually do. Instead, we almost exclusively use Outlook 2016 on our desktops. That being said, hardly any members of our team use the online version of Office 365 (as most are not used to it). On Office 365 online, we can create an event and assign it a category such as "Time Off" or "Advertising." This allows us to keep our calendar organized. We have a company group in Office 365 in which we manage a calendar that the whole office can view and edit.
